We had a lovely meal here the other night. The food was all homecooked and fresh. The fresh scallops were delicious. We also had one of their burgers and the lasagne (both adult and child's portion). The staff were super friendly and were great with our little boy (even when he decided to have a mini meltdown). The beer and wine was great too! Would definitely recommend for a family meal!

7 of us and a baby had dinner here. The food was delicious & the service was exceptional. One of our group has allergies & they could not have been more helpful. The guys serving were very friendly & funny.

Had dinner at Sam’s last night and could not have picked a better spot for my last dinner during my first trip to Fowey. As soon as I walked in I could tell we had made the right decision. Ed was very kind greeting us and sitting us down and then was immensely helpful with his suggestions and recommendations. The rest of the staff were equally friendly and helpful. And the food, oh the food, simply spectacular. Fresh ingredients, great preparation, beautiful presentation, just fantastic. We had fresh scallops, moules marniere, fish & chips, butter bread pudding and an affogato. Delightful.

Saturday night in Fowey in Feb can take the out of towner by surprise. Dinner options after 8pm become an ever diminishing selection. After a few failed attempts we made it to Sam's which was packed. Ed managed to shift a few things around to make space for us, and I'm very glad he did. The food is excellent. Fresh fish served in classic ways (the bouillabaise was top notch). Meat options for the pesciphobic (limited vege ones tbh) and a great selection of specials. The staff were friendly and welcoming and never overbearing, the atmosphere was lively and relaxed. I would definitely recommend, but would also suggest making a reservation as it doesn't seem to be a secret that this is the place to eat in Fowey!

After doing some homework we decided on Sam’s for dinner in Fowey. We did not book and was offered a 90 minute seating. We ordered the sardines and the mussels for starters. Both dishes were delicious and fresh. We followed it with calamari which was equally delicious. Great food delivered with a smile. Thanks

Food and atmosphere was amazing. Staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We had starters and mains. Food was very presentable and hot. Didn't wait long. Great cocktails, wine and drinks menu. Peppercorn sauce was to die for

A 5-minute walk from the nearest car park through the lovely town of Fowey to Sam's. This is an excellent place to go for food and drink, would need to book in advance to save from being disappointed. All the food we had was perfect, tasty, and plentiful in amounts. With Sam's being dog-friendly it also makes it the perfect place for a family meal whilst holidaying in Fowey. The staff were great and very friendly. A place you must go to if you're in this lovely town, highly recommend

The place looks great. Scores high on decor and vibe. They found me a table last min. I got the Bouillabaise for 29. It was a massive portion. The shrimp was very fresh and so were the red millet and mussels. The calamari was not impressive and seemed frozen. And the bread was stale. Other than that the soup was delicious and I would have it again. However something made me feel bloated afterwards but it could also have been something else I ate. Not sure but I would have the soup again. Probably to share next time. Notice that it is heavy on the mussels and the other fish in there is in much less quantity.
